4/16/2023 0 Comments Proloquo dealsProloquo2Go is the premier Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app, which provides a voice to tens of thousands of people who cannot speak. “We’re eager to have people try it out and more easily communicate their wants, needs and thoughts.” “When we set out to design version 2.0 of Proloquo2Go, we wanted to rethink the app interface in order to give users more powerful customization options, yet making it significantly easier to use,” said David Niemeijer, founder and CEO of AssistiveWare. To better serve its users, the new version also includes seven new Acapela Group voices, including an Australian English male voice and new American and British voices, some with emotive variants, which allow the user to speak with a neutral, happy or sad voice. Additionally, the update supports individuals with fine motor issues by offering paging buttons for those who cannot swipe. Version 2.0 brings much greater customization power yet makes Proloquo2Go much simpler and faster to customize. The update also introduces VocaPriority™, a revolutionary new vocabulary customization concept that makes it extremely easy to customize and continually adapt the vocabulary as the user’s needs evolve. An analysis of commonly used sentences has shown that the new Core Word vocabulary reduces the number of steps to build a sentence by more than 30%, when compared to the previous version of Proloquo2Go. Version 2.0 offers two completely new research-based vocabularies: Basic Communication for beginning communicators and Core Word for more advanced communicators using or developing their language skills. Today, AssistiveWare announced the availability of the 2.0 update of the Proloquo2Go App for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, taking mobile Symbol-based and Text to Speech communication to a whole new level. We haven’t switched to the Proloquo app with my son yet but both she and I are excited to start.Amsterdam, Netherlands (PRWEB) June 19, 2012 □We just recently finally got a new SLP and she is just amazed at the level of support too. They are fun and even speak my language of the GIF. I also get messages from them asking about how I’m doing with a particular task in the training. The support is amazing! They respond within minutes even to small things like reviewing the chapters. It took me a couple weeks to look at it because we had already had the other app. Since we had Proloquo2go and they were obviously not the same I almost signed off but then she mentioned the coaching app….I am suddenly all in. She was showing off the new proloquo app. Then I signed up for a webinar with one of the AAC mom Facebook groups I follow. We made progress but I was sure there was more we could do. The device arrived and I scoured the internet and Facebook for ideas. I was happy for her but we were without a speech therapist…again. The week after we ordered the device the speech company informed me that our SLP had quit. Between the speech company staff changes, trialing devices/programs and the COVID shut down it took us 2years to finally settle on a device that wasn’t too bulky and Proloquo2Go. We have been trying to find a good AAC device for a couple years. We have only had the app a couple of days but I can already tell this is going to be a game changer.
